I was raised in a family with a strong environmental conscousness.
We use Benjamin Moore paints, which are high quality, and I choose to use the lines that are low to no VOCs. Using a high quality paint saves money in the end, because fewer coats are needed and labor costs are lower. With or without lead, we are careful to protect the area and your furniture with drop cloths and/or plastic, and we keep our tools out of your way and clean up every night. After all, this is a woman-owned company!
I am a perfectionist with a paint brush. Preparation is key. Scraping and sanding can account for half the time we spend on a job, and ensure a smooth and durable finish.
Yes, we do exteriors! We have the equipment to get to the top of a 3 story Victorian house, or work on a 12' high or cathedral ceiling.
On many jobs we work on a "time and materials" basis. This can result in lower costs as we don't have to bid to cover contingencies that may not become clear until we start the job/project. We give an estimate of projected costs at the start, and keep the customer posted as we progress. This leaves the customer free to add anything that they see as the job progresses. Alternatively we can provide a bid, if you prefer.
